Tribes Invited to Join Interagency Work Group

The State of Washington’s 2015 Wetland Program Plan will functionally expire in 2021. As a part of reviewing their progress in implementation, and with an eye toward updating the WPP, the WA Department of Ecology is reconvening the Interagency Work Group, and seeks involvement from interested tribes. Depending on what the group identifies as areas for update, or new topics to include in the plan, the State suspects that the group may meet anywhere from monthly to quarterly.  They may also develop sub-groups to work on specific subjects but a lot depends on the initial discussions. If you would like to participate or track the work of the Interagency Work Group, please contact Rick Mraz at ECY [(360) 407-6924 – desk ; (360) 810-0024 – cell ; rmra461@ecy.wa.gov) and please CC me (mattb at snoqualmietribe dot us)] so the TWIG can track and help to facilitate interested tribal involvement.
