“The National Association of Wetland Managers (NAWM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the protection, restoration, and sustainable management of wetlands across the United States.
Mission and Purpose
NAWM’s mission is to build capacity for state and tribal members and foster collaboration among the wetland community. This is achieved by encouraging sound science in wetland management and policy, promoting wetland protection and restoration, and providing training and education for members and the general public. Wetlands are critical ecosystems that improve water quality, store carbon, reduce flooding, and provide habitat for wildlife. NAWM works to ensure that these benefits are preserved for communities nationwide.”
